The league hasn't gone, although we need to improve sharpish or it will be. And today was definitely embarrassing. £10 down the drain. Aye. If that was going to be their level of effort we would have been as well playing a team of youngsters who would have likely given their all. An opportunity missed, but I guess easy to say this in hindsight.

We just didn't turn our superiority into more goals when it mattered and we paid the price. Too many didn't do enough and some poor refereeing left us with a mountain to climb. We should've been out of sight before the referee's interventions though.
Dondeh Posted 8 September 2019 Report Share Posted 8 September 2019 (edited) Wonder what https://provieroadpod.com/category/podcasts/ will have to say about the state of play in their next podcast. Pretty much on the same wavelength and agree with most everything these guys say about #thedee Edited 8 September 2019 by Dondeh

Especially after we got pumped 6 v the DABs and then followed up being pumped at home against 4th tier Elgin. I'm sure JMP won't be thinking about 3 wins out of 10 this season. He could be thinking 3 defeats out of 10. Who knows.

sneddee Posted 8 September 2019 Report Share Posted 8 September 2019 absolute shocking performance. it doesn't matter if it's a diddy cup we should be winning games like this, should be trying to win every game we play. that was a strong team we had out there, we were second to every ball. meekings hemmings, byrne and the new lad were shocking. we will be fighting relegation if we don't improve!!! i fear for mcpake. 1

Also McPake is surrounded by experience to help him develop so I think it’s far too early to be on the manager’s back. Hopefully he sits down with Strachan and Nicholl this week to try and figure out what’s going wrong. The worrying thing for me was there seemed to be an obvious lack of urgency with the players (Sharp and Anderson excluded) as time ticked away and further humiliation approached. Is it a case of the players thinking, contracts signed, fees in the bank and wages arriving on time every month, time to relax? 1

Well anyone wanting to take over had better have a long CV because I think we’re due an experienced manager! 2017 - Job is entry level, no experience required 2018 - Only experienced candidates with 10+ years need apply 2019 - Job is entry level, no experience required 2020? 1

If it is then it's very shortsighted of them as most are barely midway through their careers and on only 2 year contracts.
