The Last Time We Beat Celtic

Just looking over the head to head for Dee Vs. Tim games and the reading is really grim. We talk about the Dabs or County being our bogey team, but they pale in comparison to Celtic. The wins - loses ratio when playing one half of the ugly sisters.

In the last 20 years, we have only managed to beat them 3 times.

If you look at the head to head of total games played between each club:

Dundee: 43 - 19%

Celtic: 141 - 61%

Draws: 46 - 20%

Goal Average Per Game

Dundee: 1.02

Celtic: 2.04

Highest Score:

Dundee: 5 - 1 (1980)

Celtic: 11 - 0 (1896)

It took nearly 10 years from the time the club was formed to beat Celtic and we took a few hammering's on the way to that win.

Remember the last time we beat them well. Was a Sunday game and I had a uni exam on the Monday so decided to miss the game.

Sent down from heaven to wear number 7 right enough.

I remember that day very well.. Fantastic sunny day so it was with a well deserved 2-0 victory to top it off. 

It was my grandad's last away game infact. Fabcab's wife and newborn were sitting down near the front if I remember correctly..

Now's the time to beat this mob if we can field a strong enough side. I recon a point aint out of the question, I'm sure they have some injury worries themselves which might help us out.
