Not a vintage performance by any means but it’s 3 points and that’s what matters in the end.

Thought marshall and mcpake until he came off were good.

Defence still looks very dodgy with anything in our box, got away with one with the penalty miss and Hamilton just doesn’t command his area at all.

3 points and something to build onto next week in Greenock..

Dabs pumped ana so all good in meh eyes 🤪

edit.. I was a bit harsh.. credit where credits due Hamilton saved the pen and got down well

Today proves that every week is going to be a battle and if the team are not up for it, the scoreline could easily go the other way. Ayr Utd's only loss was to ourselves, they have then undone the DABS today.

Young McPake appears to have played well today, 13 attempts on goal, a bit more confidence with Hamilton and the penalty save, a couple of away games with  fair opportunity to get a couple of more wins under the belt, before a tough one against Arbroath who could do us another favour next week.

When you have 3 central midfielders who can’t run with the ball, pass square and refuse to make runs to get in front of the ball giving options to the man with the ball you get what you saw today.

Loads of possession, few shots(how many saves did MacDonald have) -zero creativity through central midfield.

And none of them can shoot.

Goswer missed a gilt  edgedchance just after half time-6 yards our, ball on his right foot/he just had to help Cammy’s cross on-sclaffed it past post.

Have to agree about the midfield. Slow, sideways. Lots of touches, no drive whatsoever. We are desperately lacking a driving midfielder. Nobody shoots from midfield either. McDade , whilst having potential, provides very little quality from wide positions. His crossing is abysmal. Glad to get three points, but uninspiring for most of the game. Our defence still looks poor dealing with cross balls. I thought Hamilton was decent.
