Les Cameron has passed away peacefully at the age of 84.

Les, a goalkeeper, was a squad member in the 1962 Premier league winning Dundee side. He also spent time with Arbroath, Montrose and Forfar.

He turned down a chance to join Crystal Palace before he joined us. He was also a keen golfer and Jazz musician.

I had the pleasure of meeting Les through playing squash in the 1970s.I had no idea he had been on Dundees books but remembered him as a player for Forfar I suppose in the 1960's.A fine athlete and true gentleman. And of course musician par excellence.
