Amateurs. Always have been. They have no shown any football for years yet try and report on it. The name Scottish Television is a disgrace as they show no interest in Scottish sport.

The name Scottish Television doesn't specifically imply any Scottish sporting content so why is it a disgrace?

Well, football is by far the most important sport in Scotland and is popular with a sufficient number of Scottish people for to believe there should be Scottish football content as part of its programming.

No Scottish internationals but we receive England games. Work that out business wise and politically. We must be one of the few countries where our home games are on pay tv. I do know why but morally its just wrong

It's not Scottish Football TV or even Scottish Sport TV - it's Scottish TV. Obviously you're entitled to believe Scottish football should be part of its content but then of curse, as per the OP, it clearly is - even if it's ridiculously inaccurate.

Not sure how many people attend professional football every match day in Scotland but I'd guess no more than 100,000 so realistically in a nation with a population circa 5,000,000 that number is pretty insignificant. However the real argument for me right now is why do STV show international rugby but not football when the 100,000 people attending professional football every match day in the country is huge compared to the number attending rugby whilst at the same time completely ignoring the more popular sport?

You have seen the total over the top reporting on United start to the season and Lawrence shankland in the courier and on STV news that there is obviously biased reporting. Its always bad news stories about DFC, STV even managed to turn the Gordon Strachan appointment into a United story. Leave them to it and pay no attention to it. Would be great to give them a doing but if we can keep winking and applying pressure, we will see how they cope.

It seems to me our paranoia with 'local' media is becoming embarrassing.

STV News provide genuinely regional/local Scottish News AND sport 5 days a week....unlike BBC's 'Reporting Weegieland'. The NE regional version cover the Dundee/Perth/Aberdeen/Highland clubs in every programme, and only rarely mentions Central/West clubs.

Maybe if our club did something positive & fed the media with more than the 'weekly presser', we'd get more coverage?

Storm in a teacup.

[ps....that Arab post looked more like a dodgy home-edited attempt at a windup...if some junior mixed up the name tags on the interview recordings, is that really a big deal?]

Whist I didn't specifically mention rugby coverage Prince, clearly if you have a finite resource then surely it should be spent on the more mainstream activities?

The other side of that sword is that we cannot complain about the bias of coverage of the OF of course!

Ah well, as we're sh**e anyway at least the rest of the country doesn't realise it!
