Great news to hear Barry is back at Dens.

He was the width of the post away from bringing the Scottish Cup back to Dens after 100 years but he wasn't to be denied legendary status as he guided the club to a record-breaking winless run to steer us away from relegation after the disgraceful 25-point penalty in the Deefiant season.

Has there been a better servant this century? Bonetti had money to burn but couldn't replace Barry. He was a class act for every manager he played under.

Where the hell is the money coming from to pay for all the backroom staff?

We're bankrolled by Tim Keyes and I don't think the Keyes family are living hand to mouth. They are uber wealthy and based in a country where the rich don't really pay taxes.

As long as Keyes and Nelms have a plan for the club and the city, and remain committed, I don't think us fans need to worry too much about costs.

You joke, but America is a panacea for the Tories. Minimal taxes for billionaires and poor people paying for healthcare or dying. The Telegraph, Mail, Sun and Express are certainly doing their bit to make Boris' mini-America happen.

I seem to have missed something.  Where are you hearing this from?

True legend. For me Barry's spell at Dens was worth far more to the club than the Cannigias/Nemzadzes/Ravanellis etc. despite the amount of enjoyment these players gave me and the rest of the support.

Barry Smith is Dundee. Like Sailor Hunter, Billy Steel, Tommy Gallacher, Bobby Cox, Alan Gilzean, Jocky Scott, Tommy Coyne, Jim Duffy and other legends, Barry is up there. Well done to the club for giving this man a job at a club where he changed history.

Not sure Ian Gilzean ever reached that status to be fair - couple of decent goals mind.

Certainly comes over that way watching him in TV interviews etc.

A bit of humility there. But thank you for the confirmation Prince.
