109 years since we last laid eyes on that cup...... as a club, we should publicly announce and promise never to display it again in an undertakers window in the hope that this auld woman's curse will finally be lifted!

I thought that I should give something like this read and see if there are any magical fixes to breaking a 109 year old curse!! 🤣

https://thetravelingwitch.com/blog/2017/9/10/curse-breaking

The first step in curse breaking should always be a thorough evaluation of your situation. Ask yourself the following questions.

  1. Do you know for certain that you’ve been cursed?
  2. If no, what makes you suspect that you’ve been cursed?
  3. If yes, do you know who cursed you? The more information you can gather on who cursed you, how they did it and why, the better off you’ll be.
  4. What kinds of effects is the curse having? Is it affecting only you or are others also experiencing the effects?

Answers are: Yip, 109 years, The auld wifie who said "1910 and never again" as she cursed us, 109 years without winning this fecking cup!

See, we have been cursed ladies and gents!

Anyway, why do we even bother entering this bloody cup...... it's just another quick exit to a highland team I have never heard of before just to say there is always next year! 😴

Another competition the club has embarrassed us in most seasons for a decade and a half.

Need to be an adult to remember us playing at Hampden. Embarrassing.

A run for us these days is not getting knocked out the first round we enter.

Why is it every other club, bar the OF, has good times and bad times?

Whoever we draw we will be papped out without a whimper.

I feel sorry for all the fans that will get excited and will be thinking 'maybe this year'. It won't be this year, or the next, or the next, or the next...........

Never doubted that for a moment.

Not that I feel the need to write it out though.

We'll never win the top flight, it is an absolute mystery why anybody goes to the football anymore.

No ones mentioned winning it.

Just not embarrassing ourselves in it would be a start and it's a real pity our younger fans under the age of 18 didn't get a chance to see us in a Hampden semi in our 5 season stint in the top flight there.

3-0 defeat from Queen Of The South last season in the first round we entered.

2-0 home defeat to Motherwell the season before in the second round we entered.

2-0 home defeat to bottom of the Championship St Mirren the season before in the first round we entered.

4-0 defeat at Ibrox the season before when they were a league below and we had Bain, Harkins, Stewart and Hemmings. Quarter final. Joint furthest we got all decade.

2-0 home defeat to Celtic the season before in the second round we entered.

1-0 home defeat to Raith the season before in the first round we entered.

Not been near Hampden since Tony Blair was PM and George Bush was president.

The list of clubs that have been since is extensive.

Hope this cheers up your Monday Barkblue 😉

This is the kind of reality check that our players need. It's an absolute disgrace and I think we need to sort it out this year. The players need encouragement and an enthusiastic home support and maybe this time...
