Manager of the Decade 2010-19

Well with a new decade coming up (2020 already..... bugger me! )

I thought we would put our 2010 decade team together by nominating your favourite strip, manager and players who played for us during 2010 to 2019, and then we will put them to a vote in a knock-out competition until we get to the Manager and top 11 players for the 2010 decade.

The managers stand for themselves: Gordon Chisholm, Barry Smith, John Brown, Paul Hartley, Neil McCann, Jim McIntrye and James McPake.

As good as Barry was, I'm picking Hartley. Got us up, made us a solid team, and if not for the massive banana skin losing streak in 2017, he could have still been here today. Both club and manager have fallen hard since the split.

Hartley for me. I think wrong advice scuppered him. Should not have gone to Craig Brown for advice. Doing well at Cove.

Close call with Bazza, but Hartley for me. The truly awful transfer window combined with losing Hemmings & Stewart and the fallout with GGH was probably as much of an unfortunate perfect storm than it was poor management. However, he produced the most entertaining Dees team since Bonetti. Promotion, top six finish and dooned the dabs is a decent return.

I had thought about just putting those two up on their own, but while I hate to say it, Brown has merits for doing a great job trying to keep us up and if it hadn't been for that Pawlett dive in the box... who knows he might have pulled it off.
