What English Team Would Dundee Be?

If we were an English team, who would we be?

I am tempted to say we are a Sunderland, a team that had a degree of success many years ago, currently underachieving, a new manager every couple of years, one of the bigger teams away from the Pemiership, a decent sized fan base that expects better than they are getting, had their share of money issues (overspending and almost bust) annoying neighbours that think they are world famous

Fulham.

Newcastle. Biggest under achievers in English football. 52,000 fans in stadium and one UEFA Cup since the 1950s.

Accrington Stanley - bit of a joke club in all honesty.

They won 7-1 in their last match.

They're still a bit of a joke club though. Have been since the milk advert.

We're definitely a joke.

Coventry City....once managed by a coach years ahead of his time (Jimmy Hill), but always manage to f*ck things up & torture their fanbase.

Sunderland or Leeds but I’d go for the latter as Sunderland are in a league of their own for dishing out pain to their fans.

Ipswich - horrific in the cups and underachievers in whatever league they're in.

But a loyal and forgiving fan base that stick with their club regardless.

Was thinking because they have had a little success but in their neighbours shadow

Wolverhampton Wanderers - got closer to winning a European Trophy around 5 decades ago than anyone thought they ever would and then slowly slipped into obscurity. A slight revival in the 80s, followed by wilderness years and financial problems then a few fleeting moments of top flight promise before slipping down a division again and their fans also still think they are a really big club.

I married an Evertonian and my best mans speech opening line was “ x and y both have something in common, they support teams in blue and they are both crap!”
