We (the team) have got to go out today and start to rebuild the fragmented relationship between the players/management and the support. Passion, aggression and spirit will be required in abundance today and nothing less we'll be acceptable. The loyal fans who make the short trip today deserve a performance and I think our season hinges on how we come out of today's game. 3 points and a gritty performance and there's a wee bit of light up ahead, a demoralising defeat and it's a brave man who attempts to see any positives in it.

Arbroath away was never a game I'd see as pivotal to our season, maybe even our future but football's a strange game. Am I doing Arbroath a disservice or is the uncertainty around our chances of a positive result today a reflection of our demise?.

The uncertainty and doubt you're feeling is definitely indicative of where the club and team is at the moment.

The fans are further displaced from the club / team than I've ever known and it's not good. Having said that I'm seriously considering going up today.

Freezing cold, windy, damp & dreich, an underperforming, bereft of confidence team, injuries and questionable team selections and a fired up confident Arbroath make this a non starter for this normally optimistic Dee. You're made of tougher stuff than me PB, fair play to you.

Tragic how far we have fallen we we fear playing arbroath

I see Arbroath as like Cowdenbeath in season 13/14. The Blue Brazil had a strong team and beat us home and away. Now the Red Lichties are the wee club temporarily punching above their weight so we need to treat them seriously before they inevitably slide back to their normal level.

It’s a huge game for the club, the players and especially our manager.

The first 15/20 minutes will be pivotal.

Unfortunately 15/20 minutes won't tell us too much mate, that's normally when we play our best football. It's the remaining 70/75 minutes that I'm worried about.

Just meaning what type of game we are playing and whether we are up for it...

Its far easier at Dens on the big pitch to look good and knock it about albeit until the opposition score...

Today will be about getting the sleeves rolled up and showing a good attitude from the first whistle to the last.

Arbroath have only conceded 5 goals at Gayfield in 7 league games and 3 of those goals (60%) came in their solitary home defeat - when Ayr won 3-0.

Only once has a team fallen behind at Gayfield and avoided defeat so I imagine the opening goal will be vital.
