Gowser provided the kind of chance Hemmings dined out on when Stewart was here and Kano showed he's still got it. Great goal.

The way he shoves off the defender to get away from him then just cooly slots it past the keeper shows he’s still a quality player. Get him chances and he’ll score goals!

Hemmings has scored 2 or more goals 4 times at Dens for Dundee. Has anyone else matched or bettered that in recent times?

The type of goal he scored in his first spell with us.

Delighted for him. If we created chances on a regular basis and provided him with the service he'd be on at least 15/16 goals by now.

Yeah, today showed that the comments about Hemmings being "off the boil" or "not the player he was" are bulls**t. Give him a good ball to gain a yard on the last man and he'll smash the ball past the keeper.

More like the Hemmings of his first season, saw the gap, gave Gowser the opportunity to play a perfectly weighted pass, and great to see him outrun two defenders & use his strength to fend them off too. Earlier this season, I thought he looked sluggish & in the last (1-3) Partick visit, he was being beaten by a few yards to through balls. Big improvement & hopefully this is him 'on form' at just the right time.

Hemmings has been good all season in trying circumstances. Great  to see him score two and the  team keep a clean sheet,  plus the points.

Gowser done really well following the mistake from Thistle and Hemmings showed great strength and then a good finish.

It was good to see us take advantage of a mistake instead of handing chances to the opposition. The players looked up for it and remained focused thought out, long may it continue.

Let's hope Kane Hemmings remains injury free ...

As much as it is a joy to know, we've got someone up- front, that disnae need a sat-nav to find the goal area, it's his super fitness & determination to be involved that also impresses me (& obviously a few others that get to live games) I believe Nelson has still much to offer, but like a guid few of our signings, keeping injury free &  match fit & available for selection on the day, seems to be hindering his progress ... Lets Make Progress (MAYBE THE PARTS OF THE JIGSAW ARE STARTING TO FIT :happyyes:

I think the way Nelson plays leaves him open to injuries. It is an all action up and at 'em style. He is always pressuring defenders and is not scared to dive into tackles, sometime recklessly. He has great potential, but because of his style he will be found often on the treatment table unless somebody curbs his all action style of play. Great to see Hemmings hitting the goal trail again. We need him to be doing that more consistently. Gowser up beside him might help.
