With no football being on Sky sports for the foreseeable future,  Sky are now allowing a pause in your sports package after customer pressure.

Im currently paying around £25 a month for the sports package, so over 3 months it’s £75 towards my Dee season ticket.  I think Sky have ripped Scottish football off for years paying EPL presenters more than they give Scottish clubs for showing live games. The price for the customer should have been decreased when they lost the champions league, they then lost the Spanish football yet put the subscription up £2.

I'll be cancelling my Sky Sports tomorrow not pausing it. I'll decide when I start it up again, if I start it up again, not Sky.

Now PB, is this the same promise about last season not buying a ST? You know how stubborn you are!

Phew PB, was worried that you might miss the attempt at humour. Things have been pretty grim everywhere just now!

Dont have Sky Sports myself but when you look at what they used to have there does seem to be some justification for expecting a price reduction. Would only really be effective if the EPL took some pain too and they got their take cut too?

PB's decision to cancel his Sky Sports sub will likely see them offer him 'a deal' to remain/renew....though paying £18 for very little at all, compared to £25 for very little at all, isn't such a bargain just now.

I killed both Sky Sports & BT Sport subs 2 years ago, and haven't missed either. I can get enough info & goals on Sky Sports News, and MOTD/Sportscene, but often don't bother.

I heard thru the retail grapevine yesterday that Govt may order supermarkets to stop distributing alcohol form warehouses to stores and concentrate on food, etc.

If true there will be a rush on booze. My wine store is taking £12k a day right now when it would normally be £3k.

Why don't you all just pay c.£70 a year and get everything through an IPTV sub?

Because the quality's iffy at best and you don't have the flexibility to record, rewind, catch up etc.
