Truly woeful today I'm afraid..

His first touch was awful, he should have done much better with his chance on the turn in front of goal and he didn't win a header all afternoon.

Combine that with a complete lack of urgency and awareness and it's clear that he's not one for keeping I'm afraid.

I also thought Heffernan did more during his ten minutes than Clarkson did the entire time he was on.

At least he managed to hold the ball up and win a few challenges..

Firstly, massive contribution with his goals earlier in the season but today, ooooft, looked last like a pub player. The heff did more in his short cameo.

Christ I thought you didn't know what you were talking about football wise until I read this.  ;)

Since he's stopped scoring he's not contributed much at all. Hefferenen certainly offered more today in terms of closing down the 2 Aberdeen defenders when they were on the ball.

I was surprised that Heff wasn't introduced at half time tbh. A more out of form player I have yet to witness for quite some time. When he went chasing the Aberdeen player over half the pitch in the first half I couldn't help thinking that if that if that was a dog they would put it down. Harsh maybe.

Edit to add - that was Clarkson I was talking about

His goals inspired us to a run of form that saw us beat league leaders Aberdeen in the cup and move from relegation threatened to striving for top six. He then got injured and now needs to score to get back on the goals train.

His overall contribution clearly irks the home support but he was on our bye-line in the first half helping our defence so clearly he cares.

I'm of the opinion that if he stays next season he'll hit another run of games where everything goes in. He definitely thrives on good service and I suspect we'll possess more of an attacking threat after the summer.
