No surprise the sheep in charge is going on about the penalty they should have had - whilst of course completely ignoring the two strong claims we had.

On the subject of our penalty claim in the first half, I've just watched the game back on BT and it is 100% clear to me from the slow-mo that the ball bounces off Gowser's shoulder before Langfield clatters him. Gary McAlister says at first that Langfield definitely got a piece of the ball and then he gets hesitant before insisting that he got a little bit of the ball. Amazingly all the "experts" in the panel say it's not a pen, which leaves me utterly baffled. Am I missing something?

Was a definite penalty for us.

McGowan takes the ball, Clangers clatters him and the fact he then takes the ball is irrelevant.

Thanks PRD. I honestly thought I was losing my sanity as the TV comments didn't match what I was watching. The thing is I'd be quite happy to admit it's not a penalty if it wasn't.

I'm not sure McInnes is being too 'bad', we're all biased towards our own team and I can understand his frustration with us, we've taken a lot of points off the team that's comfortably second in the league. A bit like us with County.

Have only seen it back once, but for me, because McGowan gets the touch on the ball first before being fouled, it's a penalty.

I guess the counter arguement would be that McGowan didn't have control of the ball therefore Langfield is entitled to make that challenge but it's a foul and that means it's a penalty IMO

I thought it was a penalty from the angle I saw it but it was one of those that I thought the Ref got the small decisions right  and a lot of big decisions wrong. The gadge who has a hard-on for the officials in front of me was doing his dinger. There were some top, top angry rants.

This screenshot doesn't prove anything but in the split second after the ball bounces off Gowser's shoulder, Langfield crashes into his back. I am mystified as to how anyone watching the video can deny this is what happened.

He was shouting at the BT sport guy who had been stood next to Jim Spence about "making sure it was on TV" (I'm paraphrasing). One of the choice ones for me was "I mind you fae Brechin" and I'm not paraphrasing that one. There's no doubting his passion and I do tip my hat to the guy while at the same time having a wee chuckle.
