TheDarkBlues Posted 16 April 2020 Report Share Posted 16 April 2020 Not going to take the SPFL to court over relegation. Feel sorry for them considering the circumstances and is a shitty way to go down. Hope the bounce back next season!

Not sure about that Ayr chairman coming out saying he won’t vote for reconstruction as Ayr won’t go up but Inverness would , says it’s unfair, but it’s not unfair to relegate Partick 2 points behind with a game in hand . You really couldn’t make this up , going to become messy . John Nelms achieved nothing for Dundee , it was all noisy bluster

We we’re 3rd in the league and there was no chance in hell of the season being played to a finish. Also then in relation no chance of playoff places being of any use to man nor beast. If we had voted no, yes we could have taken the moral high ground and said “that ones for you Partick” whilst at the same time (through no fault of our own) denying quick cash to all clubs to potentially keep some of not many afloat. Now as I see it, there must be a pretty strong chance that the “relegations” that were announced will just become merely a formality to allow final placements to be determined for the cash pot to be split, and between now and the new season starting (which looks to be at least 4 and in some cases 12 months away) the leagues will be reshuffled to offset the “relegations” and therefore what has been achieved by Nelms (albeit not entirely by him) will become a starting point for a hopefully a better future for our game. Going back to my original question, what did Dees expect when we pulled our vote? Edited 16 April 2020 by dblair

BCram Posted 16 April 2020 Report Share Posted 16 April 2020 What happens if we get 14/10/10/10 with Hearts and Partick not relegated, would that be something that could be blamed on him/us?
Harold Finch Posted 16 April 2020 Report Share Posted 16 April 2020 Classy response from Partick, credit to them.
