If such a big league can do it then I can’t honestly see how our top flight is going to play on still, or award titles/relegations based on a curtailed season

You're jumping the gun mate. Apparently Sparta Rotterdam's vote got lost in the internet and they've been told that they could change the outcome if they flip so they've decided they want time to mull it over. They've also said that they want their original vote to be ignored (if it arrives later tonight).

Yes, very good, Cobra.  :)

Just listened to one of the KNVB officials talking to Richard Gordon.....he said there was a lot of anger in the room, so not quite as simple as the impression the BBC article yesterday portrayed.

As I said in the reconstruction topic, when the top 2 teams are level, just GD separating them, and both will get the first 2 CL places anyway, it's probably easier to decide to 'null & void' the leagues. The leaders of the second tier, though, a wee club I'd not even heard of, 11 points clear, are furious. Wonder what colours they wear?

UEFA ought to have made the decision for all member nations, and avoided all the self-interest.
