Just seen the article in the Evening Telegraph regarding Ron Dixon. I remember his first interview very well and how it filled me with excitement.. then my bubble burst when I heard his say 'I don't want to be a arm chair quarter back' Boom.... I knew it was to good too be true!

Another failed dream by a sugar daddy that never delivered on his promises.....

Remember this? We take a look back at Ron Dixon’s failed dream for Dens Park

Myself and an old friend who worked for the Record at the time had faxed Dixon in Canada and asked if he would work with David Holmes, whom we had a meeting with in Falkirk.

He agreed and the rest is history - shame it went belly up but at the time it was that or oblivion.

Aye maybe  - I blame Steve Martin (sorry Steve!) as he took over the reigns then with Molly something?  Steve brought Ron D to the fans in Edinburgh and it was like the sermon on the mount - -we all loved what Ron had to say.....a good marketing man......but nae delivery!
