Listening to Sportsound just now, they have just said a proposal for a 27 game Championship will get the go-ahead as 8 out of the 10 Clubs are in favour.

Looking to start on October 17....Jimmy Nicholl is on and he alluded to that start date  before the info came on on the clubs agreeing the proposal.

Sportsound reporting that this will get the go ahead and confirmed tomorrow.

Will this be the case or will there be more twists and turns?

I read it to mean that they have the required support rather than anyone necessarily being against it. Nothing has been formally voted on anyway, we'll find out tomorrow anyway.

So 27 games = 10 club league with everyone playing each other 3 times so a big mismatch on who gets to play teams twice at home, suppose we get Hearts, Ayr and Dunfermline twice away?

Can they no just keep it simply and fair ?

At least we can pretend we're getting the 'full SPL' experience. 😉

The idea is that the first 9 could possibly be (partially) closed doors anyway, could even be neutral venues if we're looking at the hub concept.

Surely a joke? Playing each other 3 times? I've not missed this 'sport' whatsoever!

Does anyone know if Hearts is one of the teams that voted?

Yeah, all current Championship clubs were asked to vote on the matter. Hearts and Raith are officially Championship clubs rn, so they got asked to vote.
