Smacks of cost cutting over change of direction. I assume Dave McKay will now assume the assistant manager role.

I'm sure initially they both offered a great deal to a New DFC Manager, that was still settling in and cautiously finding his feet.

But I also believe it's possible, he could have felt overshadowed at times, in working with a Top Coach with years of experience.

So now is your chance James, to prove & establish yourself. Be assertive & confident in your decision-making. You'll do fine

The higher earning players may be asked to take a pay cut and I'd assume JN and JMcP will do too.

Disappointed in particular that Jimmy has gone, he provided the experience we've badly needed for years. I hope Strachan may take on a more hands on approach, because McPake, like McCann and Hartley before him, is prone to some right bloody nonsense.
