Here now is an opportunity for members, both new and old, here on Oor New Forum, to drop in a wee (or even big post) aboot what they really like (or even no like) aboot oor Manager ?

I know ............ This topic has been flogged to death on every DFC forum.

And I for one, dinnae need much o' an opportunity to keep singing the praises of oor driven, hard working, manager.

And if asked, I could easily fill again, a page with all the attributes he has, and has shown, since his arrival at our Club.

But this is a New Forum, with lots of new members, so if you feel inclined to post (even a one word desciption of him) why no bang in a few posts/responses, to cheer oorselves, and yourself up !! .........and maybe even cheer him up !!

....... Who is to say PH might no pop into oor new forum and have a wee sneeky look to see, whit we are saying aboot him ?.

So maybe if you do decide to respond, we better keep oor comments mighty positive ....... C'mon the DEE !!

Hi gedee, the most noticeable thing he has brought to the club has been a real air of professionalism. I could mention many of his other commendable attributes, but that is the one that strikes me more than any :)

I concur, I also think he has brought together the board of Directors, the players and the fans together. First time in a long time I could say any manager has done that.

Hated Hartley as a player.

One of the most, if not the most thorough managers we have ever had. Not a stone goes unturned as he tries to improve our team. Funny how things work out as I recall some people being distinctly disappointed when Bomber left and Hartley came in. From hell to heaven.

Never wanted bomber as our manager, didn't think he was had the man management skills required to take us on and was surprised that the players started playing under him the way they did (then I heard about the crazy bonuses that we were paying out for a win and then it dawned on me why we were playing better).

While Bomber is history, I do believe that he got the job because of who he knew than rather what! Bomber gained some respect from me when he resigned from the club, knowing he wasn't either good enough or he had lost the fans/players.

The new board did the club proud when hiring Hartley, and while I don't put him high on a cloud, I do believe he is the best (real) manager we have had at the club for many years. I only hope that we can keep him on for another good few years.

We'd have easily won the league with Hartley in charge of Bonetti's players now. Wasn't just some good players we had, we had one of the former best players in the world.

Imagine we could have Bonetti as Chief Scout, Hartley as manager, Duffy as Defensive coach and Jocky as Attacking coach. Stuff dreams are made of.

I've often said that Bonneti was the worst manager of my time going to Dens and I still stand by that. Yes his signings brought us some good play but we criminally underachieved and were tactically non existent.

It's a bold statement but Kerno would have managed that side better.

Strange that you would entrust so much money in the hands of someone who proved to be pretty much a total clown.

Dario, provided he had learned English, would have been a more astute appointment. He's went on to have a not too bad management career.

No denying the squad he had under achieved... (Ludo's *Dream Team* up there is even more galling when you consider... it could have happened!)

But you MUSt admit, the Bonetti years were good if not only for bringing in Pizza to the ground!

"Say good bye to the pies!"...  (not my FINEST hour in Dens, but certainly one of my favourite ever recordings!)  :D

Joe,

They had some good moments but ultimately it was just unfulfilled potential, disappointment and financial meltdown.

All in all not worth getting overly dewy eyed over
