Robertson Agrees To Dens Return

DUNDEE have announced the signing of Hibernian's Scott Robertson on a pre-contact agreement.

 

The 29-year-old midfielder, twice capped for Scotland, will join up with the Tayside outfit on a three-year deal in the summer as boss Paul Hartley continues building his squad.

 

"It's great for me to return to the club where I started my career and I'm really excited about what we can achieve at Dundee," Robertson told the club website.

 

Robertson has made 34 appearances for the Championship outfit this season but is now relishing a new challenge at Dens Park.

 

"The club have had an impressive season back in the top flight and are in a strong position to be able to kick on and progress even further," he said.

 

"There were other options on the table, but as soon as I spoke to Paul I was convinced that Dundee were the right club for me."

 

Hartley said he had signed a skilful, box-to-box midfielder who is strong in the air and carries a goal threat.

 

"He is a player, who has been on our radar for a while, so we are pleased to be able to come to an agreement," he added.

 

"Scott is joining us until the summer of 2018 which brings continuity and we believe he is the type of player our fans enjoy watching perform."
