Trouble Brewing At The Brick

Loving it! A little insight into the day to day running of the city's wee team recently.

25% of their £6 million plus transfer fees have "disappeared" to unnamed parties..

"Serious concerns", "unsustainable", "cost cutting", "unable to clear debt"

To borrow a Day Glo expression of late..

Tick tock baby! Tick tock...

I am surprised that there was no comment from the supporters groups across the road when Steven Thompson converted his debt to shares. This is a common occurrence as debt holders hope that the price of the shares will increase and they will eventually make money on their "investment". It is known as "debt for equity".

Of course Stephen Thompson will only be able to sell his shares if someone is daft enough to want to purchase them and I do not understand why anyone in their right mind at the present time would want to buy shares in a Scottish football club.

Let's just sit back and enjoy the ride for a bit.

I'm looking forward to this close season.

Selling you best players for multiple millions then posting an operating loss - only the DABS :lol2:  :lol2:

As much as I love a laugh at the Dabs this isn't strictly true. Operating income is gate receipts and tv income etc. this is offset by wages and running costs to come to an operating profit or loss. The player sales would then come in later hence the bottom line profit.

That said f**k Dundee United and all who fail in her.

To be honest, although eh would normally say, whit happens doon he road is of no real interest to me, maybe this is no strictly true.

It gave me nae pleasure tae see some o' the gloatin' posts that used to pop up frequently on Dundee Mad fae them, when we were struggling , and they (at least in their own minds) ponced aboot, thinking they were world famous.

But that said, I think my only focus at this time is on Dundee FC.

As I have been saying in recent posts, I have a good feeling just now about our Club. I think, we are not only going to consolidate, but we are at last going to make areal mark in the Premiership. Given a little bit more time (may take two or three seasons) we will be the leading team in the City

Most of this is based on gut feeling I admit, but if this feeling is generated within DFC supporters, DFC club, manager and players ......... well who knows.

Total belief and ambition in ourselves, is step one .......if the ither lot start questioning their own ability (and keep regularly sticking to their present policy, of selling off their best players ......... well it really is only a matter of time :)
