Match Preview: Dundee FC Vs. Dabs!

Recommended Posts

Well it is coming up to that time again, Derby day and a quite possibly the last time this season that the DarkBlues have the chance to redeem themselves from the nightmare 6-2 thrashing from those dayglo Dabs.

Let's get the derby started!

Note For any Dark blue players who might be here.

This is not like any other game not should you treat it as such, as this game is so much more. You owe us fans more than you will ever know after the 6-2 defeat. This is a game where now you have to win and we don't care how you do this, but you have to restore your pride, if this means having to sell your first born, your soul or your everything you hold dear, then that is just a small price you will have to pay.

Game Details:
Competition: SPFL League game.
Venue: Dens Park
Date: Wednesday, 08 April 2015
Kick Off: 19:45 (7.40pm)

Ticket Prices:

Adult: £25.00 (Between 16 and 64)
Child: £15.00 (15 years and under)
Senior: £15.00 (Over 65)
Student: £15.00 (Full time student ID required at gate)

Apparently according to the booking site it is £55 to get into the Bobby Cox stand. Not sure that is a mistake. lol

Purchase Tickets for the game here

How to get to Dens Park.

I'm not doing the stats for this game.

To all at Dundee Fc..

Not to play the guilt trip or anything..

BUT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU WHO WILL BE PULLING ON THE DARK BLUE NEXT WEDNESDAY ARE OWE US BIG TIME!!!

Delighted with the progress we have made this season, equally chuffed that we finally seem to have strong and skilled leadership as well.

Our beloved club appear to finally be heading in the right direction and we are starting to believe that we can return to some sort of semblance of what we should be; the biggest and most successful football club in our city and competing well at the very top levels of Scottish Football.

One ugly, hurtful, pitiful, embarrassing and down right ridiculous blot on our copy book is our recent run of form in the Derby.

FOR THE LOVE OF *** WIN ON WEDNESDAY.

JUST GO OUT THERE AND WIN THAT FUCKING GAME PLEASE.

WE DONT CARE HOW YOU DO IT OR WHAT IT TAKES.

JUST WIN LADS!

Yours in anticipation,

Boba Fett (loyal, lifelong Dee)

Agreed. It's going to be a nerve racking few days with rumours of injuries etc before the squad is confirmed for the game. Like I said I don't think Paton and Rankin will dominate the midfield if Thomson is in there. McPake must make it as well. If we can put a good team on we will do it,

Try to avoid forecasting result of any game DFC are involved in ...........  And I am no' going to change old habits now.

But whatever the result, I would just love to see a fully fit team coming on to the park, primed and ready to get at them.

A loss against them is always hard to take ...... At this time it would be harder. ...... A solid win, and I would be delirious.

............Meanwhile, as we continue to consolidate, they continue to collapse :)

Although that mob across the road seem to be in turmoil just now on and off the park, which pleases me no end,Wed nights game in IMO,will be a very difficult fixture.

Yes they are on a terrible run of form, but the dayglo vermin always seem to save their best for us, we will need to be at the very top of our game to win this one, lets hope we have Harkins available to provide some much needed creativity and invention, and Mc Pake fit, and hopefully Gary Irvine back as well.

They will be well up for this one , no doubt about it, lets hope we are just as fired up and look to put one over on them, and pile on the misery for their deluded and unrealistic fans who have such a sense of entitlement, bordering on Celtic and Rangers style views.

Lets get right into them..................head first     Cmon the Dee!!!!

Other than win the match, what should the game plan be for the Derby?

PH has got to have them in the right frame of mind for this ane.

First priority has got to be not to conceed early (something it seems we rarely manage to do against them) and establish a foothold in the middle of the park.

We can't afford any passengers who don't understand the importance of this game or even a single one of our players giving anything other than 100% all over the park.

Would love to have GGH back and in the team for this one but I don't think he'll be fit.

Dyer is a worry and they will undoubtedly target him however we have been defending far better as a team since the humiliation on New Years Day.

Great that we'll have Bain between the sticks for the first time in a Derby as well.

It's creating the good opportunities to score that worries me. Attacking skill and flair is what our recent performances have been lacking.

Already nervous about the game and their current predicament on and off the park is small comfort.

Form book goes out the window and anything can happen.

Defend properly, Press them high up the park, don't fanny about in our own half and get bodies forward when the opportunities come. if we can do these things, we stand a decent chance of winning the game IMO.
