Have I Missed Anything Good On The Television In The Past Week ?

Since I joined The Dark Blue Forum about nearly a week ago I have been spending all my time on the new forum.

The wife has given up on me I think !!        (But that happened a while ago, when I think aboot it)

To be honest, I hardly ever watch any television at anytime.

But nevertheles, I hate to think I missed something good !!

So what have you been watching ?

What do you watch on television ?

Or is it all, just a load o' keech !!

Most of it is a load o' keech Gedee but there is a few gems hidden out there. Have you a preference ie. US TV shows, British, Genre?

Hello '1893 ......Away back, I got the Dish for Sky, and I tried to kid masel, it wis ok and worth the money. But efter a year I give up !!

The US stuff disnae appeal at a' to me. But that is too much o' a generalisation, I am sure they do produce some good things.

Use Freeview now, Basically use only the established (terestial?) channels for news, current affairs, occasional dramas, films, sports. .

Find myself listening to BBC Scotand more ...............  BUT YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT "HIDDEN GEMS"  that seem to appear from nowhere.

TBH mate, most of the stuff just now on TV isn't up my alley. I've started watching 'Life On Mars' again which I think is one of the best British TV shows I've ever saw! Could be worth a watch for yourself?

Homeland is an excellent TV show and if you have netflix or anything else that shows it, I highly recommend it.

Breaking Bad is also another excellent TV show.

Hello Cannigia ...... TV I think is like music and like humour and like many other things.

Thankfully, we have all got our own idea what we like. And again what we might have thought was good/ funny a few years ago looks pretty daft now.

I think I was too hasty in saying US TV is no my cup of tea ......I watched some good stuff fae there !!      In fact I like Homeland !!     It's on tonight.

CHEENGED MY MIND NOO ....... I LIKE TV EFTER A' ..............Mind "Sopranos" ...... started in the1998 I think .....got hooked into that.

( '1893 ..... If life on mars is aboot twa detectives (one living in the past) I didnae like that ............mind I only looked at it for aroond 10 mins !! )

If you have never seen it.. find "The Shield" - one of the best prgrams I've ever seen.

(Forget "The Wire" that was just awful... I cannot understand that RAVE reviews it gets (usually by american critics it must be said)

As mentioned above, Breaking Bad is excellent (only one bad episode for the whole run)

Also worth looking out - Six Feet Under. And if you are into Sci-Fi - the new Battlestar Galactica.

American Horror Story is very good, Season 1 is good, Season 2 is amazing, but series 3 is very poor compared to them.

Season 4 has just started recently and I'm not sure about it as yet... (Funnily enough, The Walking Dead suffers from exactly the same problem. Just catching up with that and S4 far better than the poor season 3)

No mention of 'The Sopranos' yet? Shame on all of you. Possibly the best TV series to come out of America.

On TV that's week to week and is easy watching? Gogglebox is worth a few chuckles, even if the premise sounds as if it'd put you off, give it a watch and see what you think.

(I suppose the ulitmate would be a program called "Outside the gogglebox"  being a 10m program solely based on people's reactions to people watching gogglebox!)
