Me and the young lad agree that there wasn't a Dundee player you could describe as bad or poor. On that subject - take a minor bow Willie Dyer. Best game I can remember in a Dundee jersey and until he started getting too clever after about 70 minutes, verging on very good imo.

First half was viewed from a distance from the main stand.

Fully agree mate. Though that was with out doubt his best game for us.

I'm another one who thought Dyer played well. I mind one wayward pass but I'll not hold that against him, it happens. If I was going to single one player out it would probably be McGowan. I was sure his header was going to be a goal. A fantastic team performance though, proud of all of them.

I thought Thomson's display was the best derby performance in dark blue I've watched since Nemsadze. Our captain just makes the game look so easy at times.

Gowser was also excellent. We're used to the ferocious desire and tireless energy but tonight we also saw him show what a talented footballer he is as well.

Those two really are a formidable centre mid pairing.

McPake was barely fit but gave us a heroic performance.

And Stewart really loves playing the dabs. Opening the scoring, produced another outstanding free-kick and then delivered a perfect cross for the Heff to seal the win.

Every player in dark blue deserves praise though. The attitude was magnificent.
