And Here Was Me Thinking I Had Insomnia ...........

For, many, many, years, and certainly more recently in the past 20 years or so, I have, what you might call, a serious sleeping disorder.

I have accepted this as some of incurable undiagnosable condition, that I would just have to live with, or find some docto,r who was willing to prescribe an endless, regular, supply of addictive, sleeping pills, or tranquilisers.

I put the long, restless nights, in bed fully awake down to an over active brain (pretending it must be a sign, of some  well hidden, inner intelligence

When all the time the cause was staring me right in the face ......... it wis awe Dundee FC's fault !!

For awe these years I have been worrying aboot them, thinking aboot them too much. And therein lies the cause.

Even putting aside DFC's history and troubles of recent years, Leading up to any DFC gemme, and especially the night before, I lay awake maist o' the night worrying aboot, how we were gonna do ?

When and if, we got beat, or put in a miserable performance, I knew a lousy night's sleep wis sure to follow, as I worried aboot the gemme that past, and the gemmes ahead.....and where we as a Club were headed.

But the irony o' the situation is, I have now realised is, when Dundee are playing, away much higher than my humble expectaions, especially this season, and especially last night, the sleepless problems get even worse ........

as I live again and wallow in the thoughts o' what it is like to support, the BEST CLUB IN THE CITY

So my insomnia, I now realise is awe Dundee FC's fault ......... Thank you DFC

I think every Dundee supporter or our era Geedee, and of course the younger generation of Dundee supporters can relate to that, I have just watched the highlights 4 times just to make sure I was not dreaming, as we all know it has been a long long time coming, but well worth the wait, as the song goes THE ONLY WAY IS UP, roll on Saturday !!!

Some fowk might think, us ordinary people cannae handle too much success .......

Well in the world o' fitba,and knowing again, we are now gonna be the best Football Club in the City   (well we always knew we were the best and classiest supporters in the City)    I think all o' us decent, loyal, DFC Fans and Supporters, now know, and especially after the euphoria of last night, and experiencing great moments as this very successful season progressed, we can now all believe we are now a force to be reckoned with.

As Hamish' says, "THE ONLY WAY IS UP" ....... And your're right 8utters, who does need sleep after a night like that ? :D
