Scotland V Ireland Gemme

Recommended Posts

Enjoyed it but not much quality on show. We deserved to win and I though Ireland were a bit robust.

This is a tough group and I think we need something out of every game....and no Gibralter slip-ups!!

Poland and Germany at home will be an epic finish to the group but think we will need to beat Ireland and Georgia away.

Not enjoyed a Scotland game as much for a long while and I thought we played some decent stuff.  Strachan looks like he is putting together a squad that is more than competitive.  Can't help thinking that our old failings will come back to haunt us.

Anytime that anyone says "it's in our own hands now" you just know we are going to make an ar** sooner rather than later.

What a brilliant result that was for us and an absolute peach of a strike. Pleasing to see Paisley born McGeady on the losing team in Glasgow wearing the green of Ireland.

I was starting to worry I'd never see us against at a major championship. What an opportunity we have here. Avoid defeat in Dublin, win in Georgia and beat Poland in Glasgow and that's us heading to France.

A big if, but certainly doable! Strachan has this team playing with believe and a bit of true grit for measure. The tackling last night was not for the faint of heart and was good to see both sets of team having a right go at it.

But what a well worked goal that was... my goal of the season so far.

Never understood how someone from born and bred in Scotland, could pick another national team.
