I can see now.. losing in the play offs and Utd winning the cup.. If that nightmare scenario comes to pass, I'm hiding under my bed till 2022..

Saints "park the bus" performance to knock the Gers oot has suddenly left 5 teams believing they can grab some silverware.

Aberdeen must be gutted, it seemed a bit silly of The Dabby Glass to change the whole Don's system for this game, Utd lapped up the confusion in The Don's team, Glass and his fancy tactics could be gone by Xmas 😂

Glass was reminiscent of McCann when he was at Dundee.. play slow, pass from the back, using players who were not good enough, or (to be kinder) not suited for that system.. United had it sussed from the start..

That's exactly what I thought, another McCann who'd rather play to a system than the players strengths. Then the exact opposite at Ibrox with Davidson playing to his players strength and got lucky with the final kick of the ball and penalties. I know which set of fans will be happier tonight.

Got the fear as well. The DABs will already have forgotton the crap they played v. Partick and the mighty Forfar. It is going the way their 'normal' cup runs go, scrape through a couple of rounds, beat one 'better' side and play semis and possible final minus the Old Firm. Apart from the obvious 3-0 scoreline two stats stand out in the game at Pittodrie. 67%/33% possession in favour of Aberdeen and fouls Aberdeen 10: DABs 31.  They have been doing that all season, how do they get away with it?

It was like taking sweeties off a bairn. Only surprise was United didn't score more. Totally bossed it.

Abject Aberdeen were fortunate to get nil. 😄

Like you say five teams with a realistic ambition of winning the cup.. I may be blinkered but, DFC never seem to be in that fortunate position.. I'm of the age to remember us always meeting Celtic (with the core of the Lisbon Lions in the team) in semi finals in the late sixties/ early seventies in a semi final.. one year we beat, Aberdeen, Hibs and Rangers , convincingly, only to end up getting beat by the traditional 1-0 by Celtic.. being a glass half empty sort, I have no memories of us having the opportunity the five teams who are still in the hat for this year's cup..

Was just thinking about that season myself and the numerous Celtic semis. Our cup record is so abysmal that I don't know if it would make any difference if we got easier opponents but I wouldn't mind a few seasons where we got a chance of a cup run by getting a run of draws with lower league teams!

reading between the lines I'd say you do give a f**k.. I haven't paid as much attention as you (person who doesn't care) but, if you're right, and they have been sh*t all season.. it'd just be their luck to fluke it all the way to cup glory... don't know about you, but tat wouldn't please me.
