Queen's English Vs Mither Tongue, On The Forum........ Does It Matter ? ?

As well as above, I would like to include grammatical and spelling mistakes.

And ask the same question........Does it matter?

I came across a "wee diversion" in one of the posts there, when a poster wis picked up on the subject above.

I don't think there was any insult intended by either poster, but it did get me thinking, aboot the above question.

Personally, as I am inclined to go sometmes, for the "proper" English, or fa' back on the weel, kent, guid, scottish tongue (or a mixture o' baith) .....depending on the mood eh'm in. Eh usually jist roll alang as the mood taks me.

My spelling and grammar is far from being perfect. But it is kinda OK .......And I never get to hung up about either.

I certainly would never worry in the least, about any mistakes in other people's posts. And never, ever, go out of my way to point out spelling or grammatical errors ..... unless asked by the poster to do so.

Sometimes the phrasing and composition of some posts on the forum, means, eh've to read it, twa or three times to get the meaning.       But it would never be an issue for me.

As some o' meh ain dawdling and rambling posts show ......I've usually got awe the time in the world :D

However, does any of the above in the topic, bother other posters ?

Example ....Stick to English Only !!

Hi Gedee.

Posting in the Queen's English or in Mither Tongue does not bother me.

What I do not like is people posting as if they are sending a text message as it makes it more difficult to read.

Your spelling and grammar should be all right as like me you were taught the 3 "Rs" at primary school in Dundee.
