Greg joins a lost of previous players who have left and failed.

Do we want to go back there after Hemmings situation?

No. He had a purple patch with us. He would have been an asset last season but probably not next.

Don’t get the doubts over Greg Stewart. Only 2 years ago he was ripping it up for Killie in the same role he played for us which earned him a move to Aberdeen and then Rangers. How anyone could question his ability really escapes me. There is no doubt in my mind that GS would be a huge asset for us next season.

I reckon this group has a real desire and togetherness so I would like a player hungry , attributes for improve us over time . I reckon Stewart has trousered plenty since he left and will have lost some hunger and maybe an ego above others . A no for me

I agree- I cant see Grieg having any hunger.

Would St Johnstone sign him-not a chance yet we have all been asking why we can’t compete with them.

They sign young hungry players with maybe older cent,re half occasionally-Greg has passed that stage of his career by.

Leave him to milk what money he can from a club-don’t let it be us.

Sound like a description of Cummings.

Not sure where the ego and lack of hunger comes from gents. Assumptions maybe? I would be delighted to have a player of his undoubted ability and quality in the squad and team.

His career since leaving Dens in 2016 has been up and down, didn't work out for him in England but there's no shame in that. It's land of the giants down there in the Championship. Moderate spell at Pittodrie, terrific at Killie, and a squad player at Ibrox.

Gary Harkins was no workaholic, didn't graft for the team out of possession, and probably had an ego, which is hardly a rarity for a footballer. He did, however, through his quality and range of skills, make a significant contribution to the team in other ways.

Greg Stewart is also a gifted player and if it got to the stage where James McPake offered the player another gig at Dens, that would be good enough for me.
