Fixtures oot now! Decent chance of a win. Then Celtic away then Hibs at Dens. First derby is 18 Sept at the Dump.

Couldn't really have asked for a better 1st game - at home against a bottom 6 side.  Hopefully get Celtic when they're still not settled and who knows with the Hibees?

9 out of 9 out of the traps. 😉

Agree HK...Widnae want to be thinking defeat in the first home game, before the New Season has even started. I  accept it could be the case, that every game, whitever the opposition, we'll be fighting hard to pick up all points.

But facing St Mirren, & No the "Big Boys" at least gives us an even chance of a victory:chaplin:

And sure the manager & players & fans, will be well up for it...MON THE MIGHTY DEE :excited:

Normally these types of conspiracy theories bore me to tears but there might be something in this. Below are all the seasons we've been in the top flight with them since the split was introduced, with the side who were guaranteed 2 home Derbies for each season.

00/01 - Us

01/02 - Them

02/03 - Them

03/04 - Them

04/05 - Them

12/13 - Them

14/15 - Us

15/16 - Them

21/22 - Them

Think of the money they made from these games compared with us. Scandalous.

Yet again united get the 2 guaranteed home derbies. I remember when Eddie Thompson sat on the fixtures committee and united would invariably get the 2 derbies before the split. A derby is probably worth £200,000+.

One of the most predictable things in Scottish football.

5 games more at home with a crowd of about 7k more than they would normally get. Average £20 per head that's and extra £700k, just on the fixture list. We made a bob or two on the Doon Derby though!
