Can't read that link for some reason but clearly disappointing if that is the case. We never seem to get a prolonged period of stability. if strachan does go I think it is important we fill that role with a similar type character, for both the youths and mcpakes benefit. Not sure who that would be though .

Wouldn’t read too much into this at all. Nothing in the article even remotely suggests this “rumour” has come from Celtic and Strachan is always linked with a return every time they are in turmoil. The fact Gavin is coaching there too give these rags an extra “link” I would be very surprised if he goes there.

Reads like nonsense to me. The job they are linking him with re the player recruitment stuff is a very specific hands on role and a career in itself, it's not something you just throw an old ex manager into and it's certainly not what he's been doing here.

The article in the Record on this says 'The Scottish Sun is reporting that.....'

Suggests they don't want to be seen to be peddling pish - which makes a change.

The Scotsman has commented on the GS story. According to their article, a club source (Celtic) has dismissed speculation linking Strachan with the Technical Director role.

Hopefully true.
