Dee Picks App With Low6. New (Exciting) Announcement From DFC Official

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to get used to the New Forum Set-up;

And to be really honest, this is one of the reasons, I have added above as a "New Topic"....

Basically to see if I'm getting the hang of things (It takes longer for us Auld Ains to adapt)

And in truth, I'm not even sure, if this is still a Test Forum or we now have the real thing) :wacko:

Now that said ... Although I have NO idea what this latest DFC Announcement is all about...

Dundee FC in their Announcement on Home Page see it as something really exciting. Something that will give everyone an opportunity to become actively involved in every DFC game this coming season. As I sad, it is NOT for me....But the way they describe it, it might well be a winner for every other Dundee FC Fan & Supporter...Good Luck with it:chaplin:

Dee Picks app with Low6

It's FREE by the way (I think) :chin:

Advertised as “free to play” but not checked it out yet

Thanks Freend...I did read it through, but I knew from the outset, it would not be something I was interested in and so, didn't really take it in. I did notice "free to play"....But it would seem to me, Prince's explanation in his last, most recent post, makes more sense...Either way, as said, it is no for me:chaplin:

You have to use a PayPal account - no thanks.

Thanks you for Response...Couple of questions Cerulean;

Then is it basically a Betting App, that DFC are promoting?

If so, is it Okay for DFC to do so? (And Why no use PayPal?)

Sorry, there's 3 questions :)

Can't see it really being free if there's a guaranteed £250 prize pot every game.

Unless it's completely mired in advertising of course.

So may be speaking out my arse but this is what I understood from looking up the company involved, Low 6...

They have grown very quickly over the past year and had no trouble at all raising investment as a start up. Their pitch has been that they will lure customers in cheaply (relative to conventional advertising costs) by going to football teams directly and getting them to promote these apps to their fans with the few hundred pound incentive.

Once on the platform, fans will then (maybe not instantaneously) have their wider betting services promoted to them. They'll then look to generate revenue off a number of fans going on to deposit and lose money and as a finders fee, the clubs will get back a percentage of how much they've made off that person.

I know we've got to be pragmatic and people will always gamble etc but I don't like this one bit. When you move away all the waffle, it's an official statement from Dundee asking the fan base to sign up to a betting company, hand over data and install their shite. In this day and age, that stuff is far too potent to be messing about with IMO.

Totally agree Harry.

Had to be a catch somewhere, nobody offers free money. Disappointed if the club gets a cut of the fans' losses on a gambling site that they're happy to promote as free. Can I say immoral?

I think Harry summed it up perfectly Gedee.

Paypal and I had a falling out a good few years ago and I strenuously refuse to use their services wherever possible.
