Heard that on the radio this morning.

Some QC or other immediately dismissed it as utter garabge.

Will be interesting to see what happens, as you cannot defame a dead person...

7 or 8 years after the incident as part of a 'Fire Hazards in the Workplace', H&S course, we were shown the Fire Brigade or Police (I think) video of how it all started.  For whatever reason a stationary video camera was positioned in the stadium and was recording the game directly across from where the fire started.  They showed it in live time with a running clock at the bottom of the screen and the events that unfolded were harrowing, shocking - can't really think of words powerful enough to describe what transpired.

Agreed this was one of the most harrowing bits of TV I have seen.

I remember watching Grandstand that day. Back then everyone seemed to watch the same thing. Heysel was probably was most disturbing tragedy I watched unfold live.

Heysel happened a couple of weeks later, both events changed football forever.

just watched it again,sent a shiver down my spine after all those years.one of those events you remember where you were at the time.....still quite upsetting to watch.
