Paul McGowan Might Not Play Again This Season - Hartley

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Our league record without Gowser this season is played 5, won 0, drawn 2 and lost 3. Hartley's going to have to figure out a way to win games without him.

The headline in this article doesn't actually match what Hartley has said. The headline says he won't play again. Hartley says the club needs to weigh things up. Not quite the same thing. I'm pretty certain he'll play in the derby if fit at least.

He realistically has two hours to get home from games.

If that means bundling him into a car in his kit straight after games then so be it. Key player and future legend

Does he?

I thought he was moving to Dundee now?

We only have one game outside Dundee and two in evening. Both against Celtic I would have thought only games he would miss are the two Celtic games as they are 7.45 KOs. All the rest I would think he can be home by 7pm from Dens.

Subby him with 2 mins to go and let him shower once home. - all assuming he drives or has a driver.

By sounds of it, Hartley is saying what the press, judges and police want to hear.

Show he is helping the player, giving him a hard time, not guaranteed a start etc.

Tough love.

If, for example, Hartley just swept this all under the carpet now. Played him, didn't even mention it all, a lot of people would be rather annoyed at the way he has got off with it.

Other people in other professions in the same boat would be going to work between 7 and 7 -  no? (unless shifts obviously) he has not got off with anything - -he went to court, they handed out a punishment and that does not stop him working from 7 to 7.

Gotta say, that's an excellent viewpoint.

We should be looking to get all our kicks off moved to lunchtime.

You just know that United or Celtic would

In all seriousness, he obviously misses the 2 Celtic games but every other one we should just sub him off with 15 to 20 mins to go.

We need him playing and he needs down the road in time.

He has plenty of time to get back to Airdrie, I used to work in Uddingston which is a little further and could do that in an hour and a half in fairly heavy traffic. Can see the point about drug tests and picking up and injury, but surely if he's lying in a hospital bed there are some sort of mitigating circumstances that would mean he can't be arrested for breaking his curfew?

Stick a caravan into the waste ground at the side of the Derry and call that his new home for the next 4 months, then he's sorted to play in all games apart from celtic away!lol

Think he can be within 50m of his home. So out it in the Derry and he could play attacking whole game.
