Could easily be clear of us before we play them.

But also could easily not be. St Mirren, for example, are unbeaten in 5.

If County win against Livi, then it only serves to put Livi further in the mire too.

I'm seeing it as a 3 way battle between us, County & Livi right now.

Long way to go.

We will do well to get 1.

Reasonable to make that assessment but, as you know, football is no exact science. If it was, there would be no possibility that Sheriff Tiraspol could defeat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Yesterday was poor. No excuses. Well below our general level of performance so far. Maybe the players and coaches thought they were better than they are after giving Rangers an uncomfortable ninety minutes the week before. Who knows?

We do go OTT on this forum after good and bad performances or results. It's bipolar at times. 

I reckon the manager will be given the opportunity to find a solution to this winless run. We're not detached at the foot of the table. Livi and County are also failing to collect points on a regular basis. 

Folk reckoned JMcP wouldn't get it right last season, but he did. He'll know what's coming if he can't improve results soon, but having guided the club to promotion I don't think our MD will be guided by a knee-jerk reaction where McPake's job is concerned.

My thinking also. Would bite your hand off for 11th place and play-off survival.

You never know with football. Maybe Bill Gates has Scottish ancestry and would like to throw some shrapnel at a cuddly toy (DFC) in time for the next transfer window. Mbappe unsettled at PSG I hear. Will the stars align?

He keeps the same defence and adds two players, one not any better than what we have, and one who doesn’t play.

He then says we look like a championship team, that’s the kind of comment that infuriates fans .

He knew this season would be a huge step up, yet has failed to fix the major issue from last season..

Having said all that, I’m prepared just, to give him more time, however I was shocked at the support yesterday….

He can only get the goodwill back by winning games of football, and with this team in this league, that’s going to be tough.

He probably gets the next three games, unless things turn ugly against a team who can’t win either.

I’m sure Mcpake new the step up is massive. It was more than likely the budget put to him in the summer by the board that dictated the resigning of some players.

Again I disagree, we pay top end bottom 6…

Other teams seem to do well on lower budgets, Motherwell for example seem to pick up gems from lower league England….

Signing Fontaine who will be on decent wages was a big error, at 35, he should have been thanked for his efforts last season and let go.

We have basically the same defence that was letting in goals on a frequent basis in the championship, did he suddenly think these players would suddenly start keeping clean sheets in a far harder league…

Thats why I’m struggling with Mcpakes comments post game when he thinks we looked like a championship team….we do, cause we haven’t improved the team…

It’s like anything, Motherwell must have a scout or an agent based in England. They will pay for that information., same with United who have a couple who look good at the moment and have come from abroad. Dundee paid off the assistant manager Jimmy Nichol as we could not afford him..  Motherwell have nearly 6000 season ticket holders this season, United have over 5000, Dundee have 3000 at a push.. Both clubs have 3x our hospitality space, these are all major factors in the budget.. I heard Dee hospitality is less than 50% full with Covid restrictions.

Clubs have more money than us as we have p!seed away a fortune over the years on managers and players. Can’t blame Mcpake for this!
