I see that Big Kev McDonald is training with us just now. THought that might be the case when he had recovered from the kidney op but it would be great to get him fully fit by January and get him signed up. With Adam in and out of the team due to injury, having someone of Kevs' quality on the bench can only be a good thing.

He wouldn't be on the bench, certain starter if fit, what a signing he would be. Also is he not a free agent now,so could be signed anytime.

Wonder what the likely recovery time would be for something like this. Would love to see him back playing for us, but i'd imagine it will take quite some time before he's able to play again? Great to see him even training though after what he's been through.

This info from online but playing football at our level would take more time I assume.

"Most kidney transplant recipients can return to work and other normal activities within eight weeks after transplant. No lifting objects weighing more than 10 pounds or exercise other than walking until the wound has healed (usually about six weeks after surgery). Have frequent checkups as you continue recovering."

Kevin had his operation in May.

I would assume he lives in London and is here temporarily but who knows?

He also needs a kidney guard to play as protection

He just up here for a week or two, visiting his parents !!

Obviously lives down South, but definitely owns several properties in Carnoustie.

Correct. Not with us and only up for 3 weeks with wife and newborn.

Good luck to Kevin in his recovery, and if we can help him in any way, we should of course do that, even if it is only training facilities he needs for now, not something that can be rushed in any way.

Absolutely agree.
