Lots have been said about missing Adam and that has certainly been the case, however The goals have dried up at the same time that Mullen also went injured, he does a lot of work that drags players away and opens space for others.

Cummins for me has yet to show any of his historical pedigree, here is hoping we have Danny and Lee up front supported by Adam.

I thought Cummings was looking a bit better and starting to link up well with others off the ball. Also felt that McCowan as well was starting to look more rounded with more game time - a bit hot and cold but he's got a bit of intensity about him and is a livewire.

Personally feel McPake made a mistake starting to tinker with things after that Motherwell away game. Maybe desperation that the points hadn't arrived yet but we were playing well and were just reacting to the shock of Adam falling out. Not sure it helped Griffiths coming straight in either.

Harry, not a supporter of Cummings, he had opportunity to shine before promotion and never picked up the mantle, he has had the opportunity recently and again has failed. Lots could be said about supply however not a natural finisher and has squandered lots of opportunity, whilst sparky has yet to get off the mark he has hit the woodwork and made keepers work, he needs a break that’s for sure, however he will bring goals.

On paper we have 4 strikers, 2 misfiring, one who gets little opportunity and the other will have an ongoing difficulty due to his personal life and facing a hefty ban at some point in the future. An earlier post suggesting trading in all 4 for another might not be that far off the mark.

Mullen got injured 15 minutes into the first game of the season, mate.

Yep, it's NOT about the players. We all know they can step up when needed. The trouble ALWAYS comes from the bench, whether a surprisingly unsuitable lineup or surprisingly stupid substitutions. JMP track record as long as your arm here!

Needs to be said. Just fed up of this Groundhog Day stuff from JMP. He NEVER learns. He can't learn. He has reached his zenith. He is a Championship manager if indeed he is a manager at all or just an ex player whose injury predicament and subsequent all-round sympathy was instrumental in landing him the job. Harsh but true. A manager MUST be appointed within the two top leagues based on nothing else but a good track record. On-the-job training should be relegated to the bottom tiers. Talking of relegation, maybe JMP will be back in his comfort zone very soon unless a miracle happens.

Come on Nelms, you know New Year IS TOO LATE. I recently said I was finished with trips to Dens, (since 1961), under the present set up. Not changed my mind.

Some of  us know we need players who "step up" every week.
