Did He Dive Then?

Couldn't see from the Coxy but no strong protests from any of the players.

If he didn't dive then the ref Thomson has yet again cost us a chance of getting something from a match with a dodgy sending off.

If he did dive he should be fined and made to apologise publicly.

Highlights on dfctv are not conclusive but definitely looks like a dive

Just watched it, looks a dive to me.

The 8 yard wall at McPake's free kick was a disgrace. Ball half  a yard outside the box and the wall nearer to it than the penalty spot - it's 8 yards from the edge of the box to penalty spot, the halfwit didn't even need to pace that one out, he could easily have marked it just by opening his eyes. And to make it worse their number seven was even closer when the ball was kicked and it did seem to hit him.

Thomson quite cleary counted 8 steps, its just incompetence and its no wonder supporters get peed off.

The excuse refs used when Inverness IIRC raised a similar complaint was that the rule is 10 yards, not 10 steps. A step can incorporate more than a yard.

Which is absolutely correct.

However common sense should tell him that if the ball's half a yard outside the box the wall has to be one and a half yards the other side of the penalty spot. That was base incompetence from a basically poor and incompetent referee and is the type of thing that irks OCDers like me.

6 yards is it not? 18-12 = 6! Makes it even worse though!
