There is always a straw which will break the camels back, and for many I believe it was last nights result. Even our most pessimistic Prince Buster didn't or couldn't have predicted that result last night.

Personally, I was willing to give McPake until the end of the season before giving judgment on his term with us, but last night, this was just one result too far and the straw which broke the camels back.

If McPake had been at any other club, we would have been talking about him leaving the club and discussing his successor... possibly Adam for the short term. Now it looks like he still has the backing of the board and will be given more time, so the question is, could he win the fans back before the end of the season?

Let's remember, last season before Christmas, many fans wanted him sacked and out the door. However, he did well in the January window and turned a bad period around and got us promoted.

So given that he has shown that he can turn things around, would you be willing to give him until the end of the season and the January window to turn things around, or last night with the final straw?

I'm done. He needs to go and a new (experienced) manager brought in with time to assess the squad and work a full Window in January.

This can be turned around. Its just not with mcpake at the helm IMO. Which is a pity as I wanted him to do well.

I dont know.  If I was Nelms I would have pinned him against the dressing room wall and asked for three reasons why he shouldn't be fired on the spot for our worst post war home performance/result.  I assume Nelms did that and was satisfied with the answer.  The point really we just dont know whats what behind the scenes

He's finished. Completely finished. No manager comes back from a defeat like that and he shouldn't be given the chance either. To lose 5 against any team is a shocker really but to do it against a team rock bottom of the league without a win is absolutely criminal. By not sacking him now we're just delaying the inevitable and giving a new manager less time to turn it around.

If he'd reorganised at 2 nil, got us in at half time then had a go at them 2nd half then he'd still have got criticism but he'd have been more likely to get time from the support.

Martindale could easily have been 2 down to Ross County on Saturday but turned it round. McPake fell apart and that's the worry.

The reocurring collapses where he stands looking baffled and allows bad situations to become catastrophic are becoming more common, not less. Coupled with the bizarre McMullan substitution it may be one too many last night. That's wrt the fans obviously. Nelms will keep a low profile and allow things to continue.

Unfortunately so. He is easily out-thought by other managers in the league. Perhaps with the exception this time of the sheep manager. Too many reoccurrences.  The last couple of seasons when we have been attending have been almost entirely awful.

League title this year and champions league group stages next year and I might just might cut him some slack

Was sitting in the derry last night not surprised or shocked at what I was seeing. If I didn't have a season ticket I doubt I would be back under him,the man is simply not a football manager. Teams must love playing us.

McPake has only ever shown an ability to slow down our decline, not to reverse it. Even then that's probably due to crap opposition, i.e. Killie.

Ask yourself, ' Are things better?'

Answer from 99% of fans would be ,  'no'. So I'll include myself there. Point of no return passed. Go now.
