I guess if folk are out of contract then people will speculate- either negotiate a new deal or risk losing someone who can speak to other clubs in a matter of weeks. Happens every year. If it encourages players to try and impress ( us or other clubs) then that’s good. Doubt many pro footballers who are used to moving on etc are affected much performance wise in a negative way?
