What gets your goat when it comes to following Dundee and football in general in the modern era?

Kids/parents thinking they need a bright blue energy drink, a compression layer, kangaroo skin boots, a shitload of gel in their hair to play half an hour for an under 11 team on a Sunday.

They play football with their mates without any of that crap.

I suppose that's the power of advertising.

Goalkeepers punching the ball.........just catch the bloody thing

Short corners......they never seem to work

Long throws.......almost as bad as short corners

Putting the ball out for an "injury".....most of the time they are back on their feet after a rub with the magic sponge and fitter than a butcher's dog. The players know when it's a bad one and when to stop the game

Refs allowing players to continually move forward with throw ins. If they can spray a line for a free kick then they can do it for a throw in.

Why not have a penalty like in a shoot out? All this drama about the ref making sure players are standing on the 18 yard line and running in when it's kicked. Every team does it. Once in a blue moon, it's a retake. Fkn nonsense.

Similar to this, although it frustrates me that we allowed diving to become part of the game in the first place. I think it came to the British game along with the influx of European players in the 90s. 
Commentators in mid-90s (players in 70s/80s) used to be ‘appalled’ at players who dived, now they pretty much use it as part of their critical analysis - as you say  the use phrases like “he’s entitled to go down.”  
The sport has definitely missed the boat on this one. Straight red cards and automatic 3 game suspension would be a huge deterrent.

Pompous refs who refuse to engage with players or explain a decision. ‘I’ve made my decision’ and just wave the players away.
