Worrying that we will be homeless, look how long it took for Hamilton to find a home.

I think as long as there was tangible progress with new stadium that wouldn't be as concerning.

But if Hillcrest had already put houses on Dens and there was no sign on any work having started I'd think we were in trouble

I think some of the comments on this thread about lies etc. are unwarranted. Lets at least consider this is a positive progression.

I think you're right here-its probably too easy to look at the negatives here....

Maybe some progress and positivity around the place will give everybody a boost

Why ground share with anyone

Can they not just do a stand at a time?

Start with the Derry put us dees behind both goals and let the the away fans share the main stand

If we can fill most of behind the goals may make dens a harder place to come and get a win

I'd rather take time in the redevelopment then sit and watch us elsewhere esp across the road sitting in a tangerine seat 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

My understanding is that the terms of the lease mean that Dens can only ever be used as a football stadium. Therefore John Bennett could not simply sell the ground to a developer as you indicate. The buy back fee was agreed previously and we would have first option on that. There's a good chance Keyes has already set up a deal with a developer and it may be considerable given the large footprint of the ground.

The buy back of Dens was always the trigger for a possible move away to a new stadium, once the lease is bought out then Keyes is not subject to any conditions of the lease. He can sell the land and immediately reinvest that into capital for the new stadium.

It's absolutely good news to hear that things are still progressing, however I would like to see some sort of deal whereby we stayed at Dens for next season at least or until the new stadium was say 6 months from completion, then we move to a temporary home. I'd be happy enough with Gayfield for 6 months

I'm sure our owners wouldn't want to be paying additional rent if they didn't need to so I'd guess it would be for the greater good.

If it was for houses then I imagine they would need large parts of the ground for CDM sites etc. and would want the site cleared as much as possible. I'm no construction expert but that would be take on it.

Can only be a good thing imo.
Don’t care where we groundshare.
Only danger would be it goes t*ts up after Dens has been levelled or FPS bail out at that point. The latter I don’t believe will happen as they seem to genuinely want to stay.
Might make a few quid from fans buying bits of Dens. I’d certainly be returfing my garden.

We are not staying at Dens. Been covered a hundred times by owners and on here.

Still nothing on the club's official website. If the story was given to DCT that is a disgrace. If someone from DCT did a bit of journalistic digging and found out what is happening (titter they not as Frankie Howard might have said) then why have the club not come out to comment on the story. Maybe someone who deals with the player sponsorship is also responsible for public relations at Dens!?

Could be a leak or just conjecture by DCs

Sound business if you ask me. Buy Dens back, no more rent, sell Dens and put the money back into the new ground.
