Starting to look a right good find in my opinion .

Big , Strong , aggressive and a threat at set plays .

In fact both our CB's look very good together so hopefully the club get Ashcroft fixed up on a long term deal pronto .

Shout out to Fontaine also . I thought he stepped in on Saturday when Lee went off and looked very assured .

He's a weird one for me. Sometimes I think he looks a right find and others he looks like bambi on ice. Definitely the best out of all our CH's though. He's definitely an improvement on what we had and overall I like him.

Not a massive fan of Ashcroft. Think he is turned far too easily, but when he's on form, he's an absolute warrior and he's one of those players that are easy to love. I think it's still an area we need to improve on next summer though!

I'd keep both these CH's and move Fontaine on in the summer and try to get another 2 CH's in so there's real competition (unless Fisher is ready to challenge by then).

He is a good physical presence. Maybe not so assured when he has time on the ball, but his instinctive stuff in my opinion is fine and I don't think that he is out of his depth here on the slightest. He has been ran excellent addition, I think.

Played well Saturday but has been part of a defence that has leaked goals for fun, we desperately need a Centre half in January, appreciate there not growing on trees, but one area of the park that needs improved.

Was excellent against Rangers, and good against Motherwell, but there’s been games where has been poor.

He is miles ahead of Fontaine, but I’m not convinced that a Sweeney & Ashcroft combination is good enough for this level.

I think they're a bit too similar. Sweeney alongside a CB that's a bit more comfortable on the ball with a bit of pace and we're looking at a strong partnership for me.

I had a feeling it was going to be our day the minute Motherwell first pumped the ball into our box and Sweeney rose like a salmon to clear the danger. He must have been a good 2ft above everyone else.

What I like about Sweeney is that he defends first and asks questions later.

He played a lot of first team games down at Mansfield before moving to Dens, another example of a young player with experience that might develop into a sellable asset.

It's a pity we can't see how good or bad, Panter is. Could be a gem. Mind you I suppose McP is seeing him every day.

Whenever he scored for the Well the crowd sang the theme to The Sweeney.

We should do that too, gives the lad confidence and he may score even more goals.

Just had a look at Soccer Base, he has been booked in each of his last 5 games, so another booking and he will miss a game. Hopefully he can avoid a booking on Wednesday, I dread the thought of Fontaine playing at Ibrox.

His booking against Tic was a shocker. When we scored he was trying to get the ball back in play but the defender decided to lie on the ball in the net. Both got booked.
