On 3 occasions I thought there was no way back for him

Dunfermline away when we lost 2-0

Ayr at dens 1-3

County 0-5

Whether you like him as manager of our club, this guy seems to get results when he and our club needs them.

I and others on here have been big critics of him, but as he did last season he is beginning to prove the doubters wrong.

Cant forget also that we were missing Ashcroft, McGhee, Byrne, 3 big big players who play every week.

Back to Mcpake the guy deserves all the credit and praise tonight, does he get everything right? No, has the recruitment been spot on? No. But maybe just maybe better days are ahead for this great club of ours with let’s whisper it, Mcpake at the helm.

Proud of the club tonight.

I’d also add the Bonnyrigg near miss as a flea’s ball hair away from getting the sack. Absolute pantomime that performance.
However, you are spot on. McPake has a knack of bringing results when they matter most. The league doesn’t lie and we are now sitting ninth. Id have taken that at the 15 game stage if offered at start of season.

Agree, incredible the difference in the last two performances to county….

Agree, time to lay off him.

A lot rests on new faces coming in during January window though, he gets that right and we should survive easily.

Yes squad is threadbare, 2/3 quality players added in January to help the players out.

Asking Adam and McGowan to play 3 games in 8 days is tough.

Same old movie. Starting to get tedious tbh.

McPake has a few bad results.

Fans want him sacked.

Say ridiculous things.

Nelms ignores them.

Gives McPake time.

McPake shuts them up.

Fans learn nothing.

And we do the dance all over again.

And he does not play Cummings!

Every dee on here is delighted with that performance and Saturdays.

What the vast majority of dees weren’t happy with, was the utter capitulation against a team without a win, the usual derby defeat, and playing players in different positions.

Play Mcowan and McMullan on the wings

Not Cummings and McGowan.

Any Dundee manager will come under the spotlight when we serve up a Ross county, an Ayr United or a Bonnyrigg performance, throw in a 6-2, and he’s had his fair share of disasters.

But the best bit about Mcpake is that he knows type of performances are unacceptable to the fans, and is now doing a good job to rectify it.

Fantastic result tonight for the club, the players and the manager…..
