read somewhere that Ashcroft needs surgery and will be out till March. We couldn't even name a full bench midweek.. I hope the manager has got the funds to get some bodies in during January. It's going to be tough even making it to the transfer window with enough fit / none suspended first team players to put a side out. Just when the team were getting some momentum going and travelling the right way up the league. It's a worry, that the lack of players could end up making us bottom by xmas.

Correct, as has already been pointed out it'll be a battle until the window opens then the manager needs to earn his corn and bring in quality. But of course with the threadbare squad we started the season with it's hardly a surprise we're in this state.

We also need to get behind them - tough couple of months ahead and we'll have a better idea how we might finish after them. I still have doubts over how this whole season has been managed but will support the manager and team all the way.

Mcpake and the club getting no luck with injuries, I know it happens over a course of a season, but to lose 5 players with long term injuries is a nightmare.

Hopefully the owner backs the manager with funds to get at least one proper SPL ready centre half in.

Cant let all the good work recently go to waste.

Just to add, there are free agents available in the short term, with sweeney one booking away from a suspension and Fontaine at 35, might even see some movement before January.

Bookings are a real problem, we must have 3 or 4 of our main men on the threshold. Just our luck we will be missing adam,sweeney etc for the derby
