I've been a huge critic of McPake this season but have given him deserved praise recently. Today isn't a game that should have the knives out for the manager again. It was poor but we got through it with a depleted squad and minimal damage considering. Get a result next week and today is irrelevant.

We lost away to the best team in the country.

While we'd all be doing cartwheels if we'd held Rangers to a draw at Ibrox, Livi winning or losing today could potentially be more significant in our battle to stay up.

Defeats happen. Just need to move on quickly.

My Hun mate said that was their best performance of the season.

Gowser and Charlie were fantastic midweek but a game where you've got to do a lot of running just a few days later was a bit much for them, especially with a right back having to play CM.

Kind of how I felt yesterday. Hard for me to personally be that angry about yesterday when we've got to play Elliot in cente of midfield to support Adam and Gowser against the champions away.

Add in Anderson and I feel we're maybe capable of giving a game but it's a tough tough ask for them. Pace and movement of these sides is unreal and any time I've seen us win a game like that, it's been with a bit of youth.

Rangers were able to rest Davis and Kent and bring in Arfield and Sakala and not be any weaker while we're asking the likes of Fontaine, Gowser and Charlie to play 2 games a week. Injuries have been a bit of a nightmare for us so it will be good when we get Byrne, Max, Jakubiak, Mcghee, Mulligan and hopefully a couple signings in the next few weeks.
