What’s everyone’s thoughts on him so far ?

Without sounding too harsh.... he looks like a has been.

His game was all about pace and running but he's gained so much weight that he's struggling to do the basics.

He doesn't look that interested and appears to be regressing the longer he's at the club.

If his name wasn't Griffiths/previous great scoring record he would not be getting a game at all for us.

A great player in his prime and fantastic finisher but he's turned into another O'Connor/Riordan type of character.

He appears to have no desire to get to the required fitness levels needed

For me.... end the loan and invest in other areas of the pitch.

We are not in the position to be carrying passengers

This might be harsh but true.... ask yourself.. in his current state which other top flight team is he getting a game for?

I think you might be right about him JK. But there are flashes of the old Leigh. The goal against Aberdeen, that shot off the post yesterday. I don't think his head is quite right yet (but the Rangers players yesterday were clearly out to get him sent off).

I don't think he is going to be the mainstay of our attack, but there will be moments when he does something that will earn us points. A real luxury player that is using up money that could easily get us another McCowan and a half. If he can get us an extra 3 to 5 points between now and the end of the season, would that be as valuable as another McCowan quality player, in defence maybe?

I'm glad it's not my decision. Cards on the table though, I'm a sucker for the drama and attention we get by having players like him, Charlie, and Cummings at the club. That always sways my thinkng on questions like this.

Three months into his loan move and still not near full fitness tells you all you need to know about his commitment to turning things around for himself and his time ar Dens.

One goal in nine appearances is not nearly good enough, if that was any other striker at Dens we would be telling him his time was up......and rightly so.

He's been here long enough and had enough game time to be in much better shape than he is. He still looks miles off it. Not worth persevering with when we won't even have him beyond the end of the season IMO. Send him back to Celtic and bring in bodies where we are actually short and we'll have a much more balanced squad. We don't need Griffiths and Cummings sitting on the bench.

If anything,  he looks in worse shape than in his first game. Really was excited but it's not looking good for him.

He does look even worse physically since his first few games for us.

I find it mental that a pro footballer who trains maybe 3/ 4 times plus a game at the weekend can't lose weight and get their fitness up to speed?

Is the club giving him a free pass or something? Surely his weight/diet will be closely monitored by the club to ensure he's sticking to a routine?

Yet he looks even bigger now!

The only other explanation is that he's on medication for his mental health and it is causing some serious weight gain/bloat.

Was for his signing. Am now for him going. (presume we can offload?)

Free up cash to spend elsewhere.

Having said that, I'm not sure JMP will be up to punting his 'mate' in January.

There's no mention of a January break/recall clause in the news story on the official site. It just says "Leigh re-joins the club today on a season long loan." https://dundeefc.co.uk/news/leigh-joins-on-loan/

Most loans have some sort of January release but I'd guess all three parties would need to agree to cancelling. Unless Celtic have someone else to move LG to are they likely to take him back? Would Celtic want DFC to pay the full amount owed for his loan given it's effectively the loan club cancelling the deal?

I understand people saying "just send him back to Celtic". It might not be as simple as that and that's before you even get into JMP and LG being pals.
