Rate The Manager: James McPake (Ross County, Away, 11th Dec 2021)

How did you rate James McPake team selection, substitutions and performance against Ross County?

Gave him 1 star only because there was not a zero star

This guy is not improving , watched it today and again in play changes from their manager was not picked up by ours.

Individual duck ups gave them goals today but the flow of the game was changed before then and we lost the midfield battle.

Zero faith in this man of he's in charge in January were relegated.

His tactics were OK until he chose to take a player out of our midfield.

I think the starting 11 was correct. 

The tactical set up was correct. 

Some absolute howlers in defence cost us the game, but taking Gowser off really changed how the game was going. Now, he might have been injured and it wasnt obvious to the fans, but to me it was the wrong call yet again by the manager.

Spot on with all of that, in my opinion. McPake's substitutions on so many occasions have broken us. If Gowzer was injured, He could have used Elliot, or he , as someone else opined, could have left Griffiths up top and moved Mullen back. He changed the formation and weakened our midline by taking a body out. A point was a good return.

Agree mate. If he wanted to get Griffiths on it should have been for Mullen. I don't think moving Mullen back would have been as effective either as he'd not had a great game. Not helped that Legzdins kept humping the ball up to him in the air. The giants at the back for County just lapped it up.

Agree the Gowser sub was the wrong call that hurt us by weakening midfield and Gowser was also having a hell of game.  Not sure why he brought LG on at all the lad is still overweight and offered very little.

Made the same sub against Motherwell and St J too. Thought at the time against St J it was a risk with us being only 1 goal up but they weren't able to take advantage of the extra man in midfield. Don't know why he insists on doing it every week.

Gowser is a winner, despite his legs not being the same, he plays the 10 role well until someone younger and better comes in. 

He was absolutely raging at full time (and yes I understand he's raging 99.9% of the time anyway)
