Big Rab was a Dundee legend long before this game but inspiring an unlikely first win in the Club 12 season really cemented his status as one of my all-time favourite Dees.

Couple spring to mind...

A win through there a couple of nights before New Year in the Jocky days. Lee Sharp got the winner.

 

Also from a few years back the 1-1 when Loy scored a fine goal. Only 700 away tickets that day so plenty Dees in the home bit just on the other side of the segregation strip

I was in the home end with my mate that day, had a job sitting on our hands when Loy scored.

Favourite memory of Tynecastle was a 1-1 draw in the Scottish Cup QF in 1975 in front of  big crowd including around 8,000 Dees. Gordon Wallace scored a late equaliser after Jocky had missed a penalty in the first half. We won the replay 3-2 in a classic played out in front of around 28,000 if I remember correctly

I remember The Pole scoring a couple of goals at Tynecastle in the late 90s. 
The second, a free kick which came back off the post onto Gilles Rousset outstretched hand causing mayhem in the travelling Derry.

My two biggest “tynecastle” memories don’t include Hearts. Two cup defeats , one to the Dons and the other to the lot down the road. We should never have lost that one

First ever away match mid 60s as a birthday treat with my old man, a 0_0 draw, crap game for a young lad but I remember Charlie Cooke played that day

A wee while after Archie took charge we won 3-1 at Tynecastle. John McCormack scored one but the outstanding memory was of John Brown sidefooting one into the net from 20 yards.

It was a Sunday game, dunno why but the Capital Dark Blues had a few beers that night.

One of my very first away games, mid 70s. It was 2.2 I was right by the pitch and remember Iain McDougal seemed so huge and scary. Massive Dee support that day.
